Beit Hostel, March 2001
From Great North Road
The Beit Hostel is in Choma. It has recently been refurbished and now houses the Choma Museum and Craft Centre. The museum covers the Tonga people, especially those who were displaced by the building of Kariba. They sell a lot of Tonga crafts through there which helps to support the Tonga people, especially the women. They also host art exhibitions from time to time and during April they are having one by The KalCho Group, who are the wives of many of the farmers in the Choma Kalomo area, who produce some excellent work.
