Gauteng Gathering

From Great North Road

Last Saturday the 29th Sept (2001) we in Gauteng had a casual gathering/farewell for Noel Daley who had visited RSA from Perth, OZ and what a party it was - Richard Borejszo hosted the very ex-Northern Rhodesian get together or should I say ex-Kitwe do.

Everyone can see the ravages of time on us who most of you haven't seen for 25 yrs. or more.

Here is a list of the gathering, of which 14 were born in Nkana Hospital, Central Street, Kitwe.

Of course there were numerous offspring including Grandkids running around and our apologies to the many other absent friends in Gauteng who we could not contact in time.

Noel was able to join Richard in a week long trip to Zambia as well as a weekend away in Swaziland with Hannes & Leslie Myburgh, Colin & Jan, Heather & I and Richard & Sandy. He assures us that he will get posting on the GNR from Perth in the future.

The message here is that ex-Northeners have a unique bond that surfaces easily and readily when we get together and once more a big THANKYOU to the Founder & team Dave Cooper etc.
