Instructions
To add an obituary here requires you take one of two actions:
- If the person you wish to remember is already a GNR member, please contact Craig with a link to the member's existing Directory entry, the appropriate details, and the text of your obituary. Any corroborating information you can provide (especially a link to an obituary on the Web site of a published newspaper) would be greatly appreciated so that we don't mistakenly list someone who is still alive.
- If the person you wish to remember is not already a GNR member (i.e., is not listed in the Names Directory), please add an entry to the Names Directory for this person. Enter the obituary in the "Narrative" section at the bottom of the page (as well as all other required information), making sure that you enter the word "OBITUARY" in capital letters at the start of the obituary you have written. If you don't include this word, this entry will look just like another new member to us. Please also include your own e-mail address. Please limit your requests to close family or friends who have died in the relatively recent past -- i.e., people who are likely to be remembered by other people still living. Please also ensure that the person you wish to add is not already listed and did live in Northern Rhodesia and/or Zambia at one time.
