Peter's Narrative
My parents immigrated from Holland to Salisbury in 1954. Moved to Bulueayo in 1957 and to Broken Hill in 1960.
Started working for Rhodesia Railways in 1962 as a Clerk earning all of 381 Pounds per year!
In 1963 joined Anglo American in Kitwe - initially in the pay office and in 1964 as a computer programmer. Left Kitwe in 1966 and briefly returned in 1967 for three months.
Have since lived and worked in Toronto, WhitePlains in New York, Vancouver, Victoria, Yukon and Alaska.
Now happily retired in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada and LOVING life!
Went back to Zambia in 2005 and loved it!!!!
